Telemark Northwoods Lodging

Our stay in mid-May was quiet and enjoyable. Cable is a very small town and somewhat remote. The grocery store/hardware store closes at 6:00 pm so be sure to stop in Park Falls or Hayward to get your groceries if you are coming in late. We were in the Christiana Condos, building 800 and none of those units have an oven! Microwave only, so, cooking the frozen pizza we bought on the way in wasn't an option and it end up in the trash. The frig is a small under-the-counter, it was fine for the 2 of us, but a family of 4 may have to plan to shop more than once. All of the basic kitchen necessities where in the unit, however, so we weren't disappointed in the long run. We had super easy access to the OHV trails! Stayed a week the beginning of June 2025. First time and overall enjoyed our stay. Had a one bdrm/one bath unit, king bed, fireplace (gas), living room, kitchen, dining room, screened in porch, etc. Only complaint was that the pots & pans and some other kitchen things were dirty. Also, whoever it was that painted the place needs to find a different line of work. Good hiking and an indoor pool is available at a nearby lodge. About a ten-minute drive.

I stayed at Telemark Northwoods and participated in a women's mountain bike clinic at the Mt. Telemark hub. It was great to just bike down to the hub and all the trails are literally out the back door. The new Trek Trails on-site are super fun with many options for all levels of riders. I really enjoyed the screened in porch and onsite washer/dryer in the condo. There's also a nice picnic and grill area to use at each building.

Area and resort are great BUT the bikes (petal) seem to have taken over the area that we have been coming to for years to ATV/UTV and they are not always very friendly to the ATV community as they seem to own the trails that we pay a license for! Explain that DU!

We had a great time in the cable area. This location is located near a lot of beautiful outdoor areas to explore. The staff was friendly and the the rooms were very clean.
