Hummingbird Haven

We were in the Cable area for a long weekend. We enjoyed Cable with its quaint small town feel, great shops,restaurants and great people. We were happy we found Humminbird Haven to stay at. As we were traveling with our dog,, it is not always easy to find a good place to stay that welcomes pets. The property was nicely wooded with majestic pines and hardwoods. It is also very close to snowmobile and bike trails. Hummingbird Haven has older, cozy log cabins that are everything you'd expect the northwoods to be. Our cabin was pleasantly furnished and very clean.. For a more than reasonable rate we had comfortable beds with nice cotton sheets and warm blankets. I stayed here in August. I didn't have a reservation and was referred here by the Visitor Center. It was inexpensive so I was not expecting much - was I wrong! It was cute, clean, cozy, quiet, and well equipped. The owners were a very nice and helpful couple. Pretty location in a cute town.
