Taw Caw Campground & Marina

A peaceful and memorable place to stay. We would happily return. This was a tranquil getaway with a beautiful view of the lake right from our campsite. Staying in our travel trailer, we loved waking up to the sounds of birds, fish splashing, and the rhythm of the river animals coming alive in the morning. Watching the sunrise over the water was absolutely picturesque, and one evening we even danced in the moonlight on the dock. We rode electric bikes around the area. Jim made our stay even more enjoyable with his warm, friendly service and genuine kindness. The bathrooms were consistently clean and the showers were always hot - details that make a big difference when you’re traveling.

The location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and cared for. Robin and Reedy take very good care of the grounds and they are so friendly and accommodating. The only down side was when I initially arrived, Jimmy I believe is his name was very intimidating, did not seem to know is what he was supposed to do and as it turned out he did not do the paperwork correctly and I had to take time to fix it during my stay. As I socialized around the grounds it was disheartening to hear from others the terrible experiences they have had and continue to have due to Jimmy. Most said the only reason they stay or return is because of Reedy and Robin.

We just left Taw Caw today. We were very impressed with everything. They are making improvements to the campground. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again. It is a nice quiet campground which seems to cater to families and retirees. Since my husband and I are retired, it was the perfect place for us. There are many who stay year-round but still plenty of available spots. We have family nearby so that was a definite advantage.

Five star location on the lake! We stayed for three nights and thought it was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We will be returning soon. I wish summer never ended!

The location is gorgeous. The owners and some long term guests treat you like unwelcomed garbage. No exaggeration, my family has never seen a campground that was so nit picky. It would be different if people were actually doing anything wrong, but when every innocent thing you do is picked apart it tends to make you wish you were anywhere else, sadly. We brought our kids thinking, "man this is so beautiful" only to be treated like scum. And I see it wasnt just us based on these reviews, wish we would have read these before wasting our money there.
