Lenora's Santee Resort

Went to look at an apartment for my son. They said they had 4 apartments they would have available in next month. Said would get together to give deposit and sign contract. However now we can not reach them. They never returned any calls. Its an older building but would of been a great choice for me son. ( This was Thanksgiving week) January - They finally spoke to my son a few weeks ago after he called owner a few times then manager said one opening that Wednesday would need a few days he was 1st on list, here he went on the roller coaster of excitement only to be let down again. Mind you in my opinion these are just old hotel rooms tlwith a tiny kitchen area with sink, cabinets and a small fridge nothing to cook on, a bathroom and little balcony. Its old. I lived here and loved it, at first. If you like living with roaches...its for you! If you like living with bed bugs...its for you! If you like living in black mold...its for you! Many people have access to your room as well. I had DVDs stolen. Jewelry, furniture! Don't think about moving out and leaving anything behind to come back and get later...it won't be there. Don't leave your room period without someone ALWAYS being there because your things WILL disappear! Is a shame!

We are fixing this place up but this is not a nursing home or assisted living I wish people would stop moving here thinking that there is no nurses here but there's other people that depend on this place everybody that lives here has no place to go this is what we call home yes it's in the middle of nowhere but that's okay as long as you're up front with the landlord she will work with you location sucks the rooms are great the service is great and that's that. And I wish Google will stop saying it's a hotel because it is not there are one bedroom condos / studio.

The place is a dump. There's black mold throughout the building. The roof leaks bad. So bad that the walls on the first floor end up with water damage. Management needs to be replaced. She harasses people who are coming on the property to give rides to tenants. Its ok for her to ride circles around the building hollering out her window like a jackass but anyone else better not do it or you'll be evicted and lose your deposit. She tells tenants business to other tenants. The landlord is a slum lord. That's obvious just from looking at the state of the property. Do yourself a favor and find something else to rent. I gave 1star cuz it doesn't let you give zero.

It had some issues. But for the money it was a very good deal. My wife and I would consider renting there again if needed. Jada and James made a great team! Received our deposit as promised. Honest.
