You will be taking a step back in time to when the beaches were populated with 50's and 60's funky Beach hotels when you book the Tara Hotel. I booked into a studio room that was clean, reasonably priced, comfortable and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located 10 minutes - walking - to the beach. Great value when you consider the cost of the Hiltons etc. that tower over the beach area. Food along the beach area is costly and should be taken into consideration. Room has a refrigerator and microwave with a barbecue next to the pool area. Picking up some food supplies would be recommended if on a budget. Great value in a great location.

One of the worse hotels I have ever stayed at. First, the listing photos was not the room that I had stayed in. The first night we were there was fine, a little dirty and run down. The second day we saw one cockroach, and thought they were just in the hallway. Later that night we saw multiple cockroaches in our room. After spotting them we immediately left and found another hotel that night. We messaged the host and they immediately apologized (like they have heard this before). We requested a full refund do to the pests in the room. They refunded our room, but still charged us for same day cancellation fee. Completely DO NOT stay here. The only grace I will give this establishment, was the workers. They were helpful during check in.

I wanted to love this place. I really did. It's super cute. A great location. And the price is fabulous. We got a one-bedroom Suite which was good for kids. They loved the pool. Check-in was a super hassle because you have to check in at a different location. There was no one there so after calling and ringing the bell for about 20 minutes we finally roused someone who came over and checked us in. Our room was cute and comfortable. Two full bathrooms which was really nice with the kids! The kitchen was functional. The beds left a bit to be desired. Housekeeping let me look at some of the other rooms and they are super cute. Could stand a little bit of updating and better furniture. This isn't even Ikea furniture, it's a step below. But with some better furniture and a little bit of upda

Made my reservation a good bit out only to be told that they were over booked and I got pushed to another hotel within their brand. Horribly outdated with extremely minimal amenities. When we checked in we were told that they had to replace the batteries in the fire alarm. We came back around 11 to see that nothing had been changed and the alarm continuing itself chirp. The poor people next to us had to deal with that crazy noise for how long?? Waited over 45 minutes for someone to finally come and put a new battery in. Towels were so old they were basically see through. The air conditioner was pulled away from the wall with a 1inch gap pulling the humidity in. Whenever we returned to our room, the sheets and floor were actually damp. The bathroom light only worked when you hit the switch

Horrible check in process (the building we were assigned had a video doorbell and we couldn't make out a single word that they were saying over the speaker. A young man came along, told us we were in "another building" and walked us 2 blocks to do the check in process ... And we had to walk back to the other building). Our room was a mess. Floor tiles were all broken and they clunked when you walked on them. The bedside lamp didn't work and the shade was horribly stained. A noisy fan ran continuously outside our bathroom and the air conditioner dripped water on the bed (that's probably what stained the lamp shade too). No chair, desk or other place to sit other than on the bed. Not one hanger in the closet. Windows have blinds but no draperies and there isn't even a picture on the walls fo
