Dolphin Crew House - Fort Lauderdale

I rented a room (not the entire house) at Dolphin Crew House and had a very negative experience. The place may look fine at first, but the way it’s run is unprofessional, intimidating, and in my view unlawful. Major red flags: • There was a camera inside the kitchen, a shared living space. The landlord later mentioned reviewing “video logs,” which strongly suggests active monitoring of tenants. • I received messages immediately after I briefly had a guest, which made it clear tenants were being watched in real time. • I was sent aggressive WhatsApp messages after midnight, with accusations and threats, despite there being no emergency. • I was told to leave immediately and threatened with police, even though my stay was fully paid and still active. Dolphin Crew House was a surprise. I expected it to be kind of party central with a bunch of kids making messes everywhere. But the reality of the situation is that most of the tenants were yachting professionals either working or waiting for work leaving daily for day work and generally looking out for each other. I was pleasantly surprised that the owners of the place actually provided a couple leads for day work as well. The rooms were clean, the laundry facilities were great, the tiki hut in the yard with the grill and the flat top and the pizza oven all were things that contributed to a very good time. I highly recommend this place.

For the short period of time I stayed here, I was met with open arms. A great crew house for the price I paid. A great open backyard area for social events and Braaing/BBQs. Great cupboard space and room for the bedrooms. Accommodating and kind people who went out of their way to make my stay comfortable .
