Merriweather Resort

Our second year staying at the Merriwether, and what a great stay! We took the grands for a few days getaway. The service was phenomenal very accommodating, rooms exceptionally clean, well furnished , right across the beach, which was awesome.Restaurants and bars were near by. Mary Jo the manager was extremely nice, making sure our needs were met.She definitely runs a tight ship in a good way. If you are looking for a modern high rise type of apartment, this is not it. You want a quaint small friendly place with no elevator, this is the place. The pool was small but very clean.

Excellent place to stay. Great service from staff. Safe. Rooms are great. Love the ac super cold and love the location. Location near lots of wonderful restaurants and close to cvs for your everyday needs if you’ve forgotten something at home.

The Merriweather is in the perfect location on the beach. The units are comfortable with full kitchens. The best part is the staff. They are so friendly and helpful!

Upon departure not only did they let me hang by the pool until my flight and keep my luggage secure but when I got to the airport and realized I had lost my ID, MaryJo went and looked for it where I caught my ride and was willing to let me stay another night free of charge. She guided me, kept me calm enough so that I was able to process what to do next and have the comfort of somewhere to stay for the night other than the airport. Before this I was impressed by their customer service - you just don't see it all too often anymore but this was over the top and deserves 10 stars. THANK YOU ❤️

I have been staying at this resort for over 20 years and it continues to be clean, maintained and friendly, including pet friendly!! Many places walkable and if desired - a car isn't necessary!!
