Tailwaters Lodge on the South Holston

We had such an amazing stay at TailWaters Lodge. My entire family — and extended family — stayed there for Thanksgiving, and it was the most perfect place for all of us to gather and spend quality time together. The Blue Heron Lodge was a beautiful spot for our group, with absolutely stunning views of the mountains and the South Holston River. Above all else, Paula & Bruce’s hospitality was beyond exceptional. They were so accommodating, and it’s clear that their incredible attention to detail is what makes this property so special. We truly can’t wait to return

We had the most amazing family Thanksgiving enjoying the charm & ambiance at Tailwaters Lodge. The cabins are very up to date, clean & many with wide porches, outdoor fireplaces , river and sunset views. Thanks to Bruce and Paula for connecting us with an awesome river guide service. The river runs wide and abundant with trout at 8500 per river mile... We enjoyed every minute of our time at this special place with these very special, welcoming hosts. Thank you!!!

Paula with Tailwaters Lodge was amazing with setting us up in one of their cabins on the South Holston River. We stayed in the Osprey cabin and it was one of the cleanest and comfortable cabins I have stayed in. The views from the back porch and large windows were amazing. The cabins are equipped with all the necessities (gas grill and full working kitchen) and then some for a comfortable stay. Highly suggest them if you plan to hike in the area or fish the South Holston River as it is very convenient and steps away from the cabin. I will be coming back!

We had a great experience with our stay at the Tailwaters Lodge. We originally booked the Midge Cabin, but due to a maintenance issue, they moved us to the Osprey. It was a very nice cabin with views of the river and the mountains. The cabin was very well equipped with everything we needed for a fun stay. The Tailwaters also booked our Guide and Float Trip with The South Holston River Company. Logun was a great Guide. We caught a bunch of Trout. We had a great time Fishing. Staying at the Tailwaters put us right on the river. I would highly recommend a stay at the Tailwaters Lodge.

My wife and I recently spent three nights at Tailwater Lodge's Midge cabin. The booking process was flawless and really easy. Paula is a great communicator and host and the cabin was exactly as described. The entire property is unique and perfectly situated for easy access to the South Holston River and Bristol, TN. It was really nice to get away from the chain hotels and enjoy everything this beautiful property has to offer. Booked another stay before we left.
