Tailwater Lodge Altmar, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Positive: Rooms are spacious and clean with great amenities. Bathroom is great with good bath products. Negative: Everything was really great but the hot water in shower could be hotter.

I think I must have rewrote this review a couple times because a series of things happened while I was writing this review and had to change my thoughts. First, I would like to say that we had our wedding here 8 years ago and was absolutely perfect. We've had dinner here several times since then and has been great. We made reservations for tonight and was disappointed to hear that they stopped serving the jalapeño jelly which was one of the main reasons we would come. My husband ordered the chicken riggies (tasty but no spice) and I ordered the special (scallops w/ risotto). The scallops were small and the risotto was very seasoned with tyme. Our waitress did not come back until we were both 1/2 wait into the entrees. Had she come back sooner I would have ordered something else. I was look

Excellent food, great service. We always enjoy eating here with family. The food is always good, the service is stellar, and we're always happy to come back! Close to Salmon River Falls, Lorton Lake, Kasoag Lake, etc. Plenty of parking, and it's a gorgeous restaurant.

We were there for a large wedding which occupied most of the hotel. The staff was nothing short of amazing. Always courteous and very accommodating both for the wedding and our stay in general. The food in the restaurant was very good quality and reasonably priced. I would absolutely recommend Tailwater for a large event, weekend getaway or even just a random dinner out. You will not be disappointed.

You've been to this hotel 5 years in a row every winter to go steelhead fishing on the Salmon. River hotel is very comfortable. beautifully decorated and the outdoor hot tub is the reason why I go there. nothing better than 0° weather and 100° water indoor pool spa. we love this hotel
