Surfside Motel-Point Pleasant Beach

When you think of a " motel " you think of dirty , dingy , old and run down . This place is anything but. It clean , updated, and perfect for a beach getaway at a great price. The owner and the staff are extremely friendly . Rich the owner came upon check in and greeted up and was just the sweetest man . The pool is nice and calm and clean and even the guests who stay here are cool . Over all the vibes of this place is a 10 out of 10. This will be the only place we stay from here on out.

Due to a family medical issue, we found ourselves looking for a place to stay on a Sunday night off season. We found this motel and it looked neat and clean from the road. We stopped in and the check in was very quick and easy. The boy running the office at that time asked for a copy of both of our licenses, no problem. We paid for the room and received the key as well as a list of rules and regulations. The room was on the 1st floor and was absolutely beautiful. It looked clean and newly renovated. For those who complained about the rules being too strict, these rules are necessary to keep this motel from becoming a flophouse. This is the innkeeper’s home. If you were renting out your home you would have strict rules too. This is why this place looks so clean and not rundown.

Great little hotel. Clean, quiet, convenient.|Mini fridge, no microwave or coffee pot BUT I believe you can bring your own coffee pot. We had a room on the 1st floor, which I requested (I hate steps lol)|Bathroom is small but we had no problems! Plenty of free parking. Nice people in the office. I recommend this hotel!|Great restaurant behind the motel, across one street. Wharfside, they have a patio bar on the water, smaller menu. Love it!|The restaurant side has a full menu. There are many restaurants in the area!|I also recommend Point Lobster & The Shrimp Box!|Nice boardwalk with Jenkinsons aquarium. Very nice, small but they do have penguins, seals, a few small monkeys & a sloth.|Also recommend going whale watching over In Belmar, NJ, short ride away (or take the train) Jersey S

Excellent facility extremely well-maintained and spotlessly clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating during my 10 day stay. A short walk 2 minutes to restaurants on the river Plenty of hot water and never lost Internet service. It’s a clean, well-maintained family owned place with no craziness. I will definitely go back again.

Mi fiancee and myself came to the beach on Saturday for 1 day and decided we did not want to drive back home the same day. We Googled nearest motels or hotels near us and we found Surside Motel, first one. What a score. We actually received the last room. Rooms are clean. Pool is clean. Owner Rich is friendly and overall good vibes. 25 years and older to rent a room so there's a calm crowd. Restaurants are all close by and they have great food. We will be coming back with our daughter. Overall 10 /10.
