Boardwalk Beach Inn

I want to start off by saying we stayed this past weekend and it is off season. The room was very clean. However, we were dissatisfied for the following reasons. First, the entrance ways to the rooms was very dark. No lights to walk to the room safely after dark. Second, the blinds in the room where you sleep would not pull down. We had to sleep with curtains closed and the blinds in the bathroom would not pull down either so we had to go to the bathroom with the light off so the neighbor couldnt see in from their 2nd floor window. Thirdly, the screen would rattle in the bathroom window and did, all night. We got little sleep that night. We got up at 5:30am and left - didnt even take a shower because of the blinds situation. I needed a hotel near Brick as my daughter had two days of orientation for a new job to attended. We stayed at the Boardwalk Beach Inn for two nights. It was fine, clean and I enjoyed the pool and the nearby boardwalk. There is no desk in the room and the bathroom is very small, but it was all fine. People at the front desk were nice. No free coffee or breakfast. Not complaining as I read a lot of reviews and knew what to expect. Wifi worked fine for me but my daughter said it was very slow for her. Overall, it was a nice, no frills kind of place.

Very nice accommodations. Wifi in rooms is sketchy - not a good signal. Couldn't check emails or post anything from room. Pool area reception was much better. Parking is very tight - anything larger than mid-sized SUV probably won't fit. It's still a good deal for shore stay, I'll definitely be back.

When I went to check into the room, I was told I already checked in. When I said I had not, I was shown my card that another had signed with a totally different name and she was given my room. I ask didn’t they even check to see that this woman was not me. The girl did not know because it was done with their person working before her. I was given another room different room that turned out to have one on the beds with a very rocky bed frame that needed to be fixed after 9:30 at night. The room had some cracked tiles on the floor and in the shower. I did not receive an apology or any compensation for my inconvenience

The beach was private but you had 2 drive 2 it. The pool was not heated so those issues were disappointing. The room was clean & the staff helpful & attentive.
