Driftwood Motel

Our first time at the Driftwood and will not be the last! Paul Betty Ann and family were so nice and welcoming! The view was fantastic! Our room had a patio that looked right at the ocean! Walking distance to The boardwalk and close to many great restaurants too. Highly recommended!

I'm not sure how this place had so many excellent reviews. The only positive was having a private beach within feet of leaving the room. Everything else was beyond disappointing. The place could have so much potential if the owners wanted to. The rooms are in rough shape. 2 star hotel would be accurate in it's prime. The bathroom vanity was falling apart, doors were dirty with built up hand smudges, couch was ripped in multiple places, bed was uncomfortable. The walls are thin so you can everything in the surrounding area. The lights are bright outside and the blinds do nothing to block the light. The parking is horrific. It seems like people get blocked in over night, luckily we did not. There is a nice area where you can watch the ocean, however, all the chairs are in poor cond

Not bad. A mile from the boardwalk so we walked down. The parking was rough but we had no issues. Don't expect it to change your mind about staying here. Really no complaints. Bed was a bit stuff. Great breakfast at the little bar thing. Pool is clean and nice. Highly recommend

I got a room just for myself, no dating, last night 9/6/25 for $140 (the attendant, Teddy, was nice enough to knock "$10" off the $150 price). The AC unit is on one wall but the thermostat to control it is on the opposite wall (there is a sign in the office that says so); I set the temperature at 72°F and the fan turns off when "reaching a set temperature" (energy saving), but the unit kept running way below that temperature; this woke me up twice to turn the temperature higher but it didn't work, until I had to turn it off altogether. The fan speed control is useless, the fan always runs on high. I realized they do this so the guest will give up and turn it off: a lower electric bill for them to pay. ★☆☆☆☆ Driftwood Motel – A Total Disaster Staying at Driftwood Motel was one of the worst travel decisions we’ve ever made. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is run with zero professionalism or care for guests. Parking is an absolute nightmare. There’s barely any space, no assigned spots, and cars are crammed in every direction. If you leave for even an hour, good luck finding a spot when you return. We saw cars blocked in, double-parked, and squeezed into corners like a junkyard. It’s not just inconvenient—it’s a safety hazard. The room itself was depressing. The bed was so uncomfortable it felt like sleeping on a warped piece of plywood. The linens were thin and scratchy, and the overall cleanliness was questionable at best.
