Surfside Beach RV Park

Stayed here for two nights over New Year’s Day 2026 (off‑season) at Surfside Beach RV Park. It’s a no‑frills campground, but it offers full hookups and is within walking distance of several restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and of course, the beach. Some of the local bars allow smoking indoors, so we opted for a smoke‑free spot and had a great meal at the Seahorse Grill. The sites have plenty of space between rigs, and although the campground isn’t gated—so some vehicles do cut through—it still felt safe. We never worried about leaving our chairs or gear outside. The sites are level but unpaved. The owner/host was very friendly, and the T‑Mobile 5G service was incredibly fast. The mosquitos are bad, so bring protection!

This RV park will not give refunds even when it has been hit by a hurricane and cannot provide the service. Be aware that they have a no refund policy for any reason and do not inform you of this policy at the time of the reservation. Do not hold group events at this location knowing that someone will probably have to cancel at $100/night. No rebooking options were even given or partial refunds.

Stayed her twice and both times I was overcharged on electric...we were told one price and after we left we were charged more. We will not be staying here again. They rules that aren't followed by all tenants, such as no canopy placed on lot but the manager has one. You have to mow and weedeat around your own camper...who travels in a camper with those items. Overall zero stars would have been given, 1 star was given for the proximity to the beach.

By far, an all around great experience! Friendly residents, a true island vibe enhanced by the new manager, who is an experienced surfer, and a greatly caring person who is reliable and well known Surfside resident. Highly recommend for short term or more permanent home!

Manager is very sweet, and helpful. Location is great with access to the beach convenience.
