SureStay Plus by Best Western Chicago Lombard

Musty odor when entering the room for the first time, had to buy air freshener. Bed bugs bit me during the night and room was infested with spiders and fruit flies.

Positive: Man on the morning weekend shift was friendly, professional, and helpful. A fantastic complimentary breakfast-fulfilling anyone's breakfast needs. Negative: I booked a handicapped accessible bathroom, but I did not get this. Disappointed because the bathtub was not accessible for my husband and me. Needed an accessible shower. Thus, the reason for my handicapped bath request and reason for booking.

Pat (front desk clerk) was super helpful the moment I walked in--late night from a red eye out of Houston. He was so pleasant & professional that it really jumpstarted my stay at Sure Stay to be a very relaxing one. His recommendations for food in the area were on point. He definitely is a true customer service master and I'm thankful for the encounter. 5 Stars are more than warranted for this location.

I really loved my stay at the hotel. The staff was nice, the lobby was always clean and you could smell the cleanliness each time you walked in the building. The free breakfast was spot on and worth it's value. My only issue was my microwave in the room didn't work. I put in a maintenance request to get it looked at but no one came to my room. There was a microwave in the lobby which was a nice alternative.

We were visiting Glen Ellyn and the location was convenient. The breakfast is OK overall, however the eggs were awful, they didn't taste like real eggs so we assumed they may have been powdered. But the breakfast included apples, oranges and bananas, which we took on our way out. The waffles were very good. The room was only mediocre but tolerable for the price. $162 total for 2 nights. The downside was the shower curtain. It was fabric and leaked water over half the floor. After 2 of us took showers, we had to use the floor towel and our shower towels to dry the floor. Of course we left those towels on the floor, as you do in a hotel so the cleaning staff takes them when they come in to service the room.
