Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Lombard Oak Brook

Positive: The staff Negative: Room.was cool and not warm even though it supposedly was marking 80 but definitely did not feel like that. Also, swimming pool area and pool needs to be monitored for cleaning!

I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites Lombard for 2 nights this past weekend, And this is a very nice hotel. The entire hotel looks to be recently renovated and well kept and clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower had good pressure and spray pattern. My only complaint was the thermostat would not go below 65 degrees -- just my personal preference, but room was good temperature. The complementary service in the AM has one of the best set up's I have experienced at many of Embassy Suites I've stayed at. The omelet service is separate from the buffet area and is served to you by an attendant. My only gripe with the hotel is the $12.50 per night charge for parking, which is almost a given at hotels now but in the suburbs where parking isn't a premium is unwarranted. Also kudos t

My wife and I stayed here for a night for our anniversary. The hotel was packed crowded for a random Saturday night in March. We had hoped to use the hottub but the pool area was jammed with kids screaming and yelling and running around unsupervised, so we decided not to put ourselves through that. The room was average and the bed was comfortable and we would have had a nice night but there were kids wrestling in the room above us until 2am. The next morning I decided to shower and the shower door didn't stay closed - and then I used the provided liquid bath soap and it literally burned my eye! I am an Honors member and frequently stay at Embassy Suites whenever I travel. I have stayed at the Oak Brook Terrace location a couple of times in the past, though I typically stay at the Schaumburg and Bloomington, MN locations. Until this most recent reservation, my experiences at Oak Brook were generally good—perhaps not as strong as the other two, but still decent.||Unfortunately, this last experience was extremely disappointing. The rooms are pretty clean. Can't watch Netflix on the outdated televisions. The shower had one door missing, so the floor flooded. Made a request on reservation to be near exit or elevator and as a diamond member, they still put me in a room furthest possible from an exit. The male bartender I've had both times is a real pleasure. He is very personable to everyone. He is always the highlight of the stay. It's worth the stay and I'd stay again.
