Superior Hotel

The Paradise Ladies (3,010, 3,011 & 3,012) very much appreciated this Hostel stay. We needed a room desperately and our very entertaining host, Rick, accommodated us at the last minute with a room for 3 people. The beds were very comfortable! We loved the nostalgia and wonderful heritage of this hotel. We made new friends and laughed our way through Grand Marais and we will always remember our stay fondly.

Thanks to “cap” and the family for making everyone feel at home. I love this place, and have always been able to rely on it. It’s a small vintage hotel with all the original charm. I believe roughly 10 rooms upstairs with 2 shared bathrooms. Yes it’s different from the typical “norm”, but it’s so incredibly fun to experience. It personally makes me feel nostalgia, and warmth. Every morning they offer breakfast, snacks, coffee, tea.

3 of us stayed here after backing pictured rocks. It was 11pm, nothing was open and the weather freezing. I found this place and couldn’t believe it, it’s an absolute gem. Perfect for my needs. The owner is great, super friendly. I’ll be back every time I’m trekking Grand Marais. Love this place
