Super 8 by Wyndham Wheeling WV

Tried getting two nights here just to have the guy at front desk literally try to steal $129.58 from me and refused to refund my money. I was forced to call the police on him. DO NOT GO HERE! SAINT CLAIRSVILLE HAS BETTER HOTELS THAT DON'T STEAL FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS ONE DOES PLUS SAINT CLAIRSVILLE HOTELS HAVE BETTER BREAKFAST! THIS PLACE SUCKS AND IS RUN BY CON ARTISTS

I had a reservation at Super 8 Wheeling, WV for November 27–28 (Confirmation #87413EE020054). Due to inclement weather, I was unable to travel and responsibly called the hotel twice on November 27 to cancel my stay.||First call at 10:07 AM to cancel the November 27 reservation||Second call at 6:08 PM to cancel the November 28 reservation||Despite notifying the hotel in advance and speaking directly with staff, my credit card was still charged. This reflects very poor customer service, lack of accountability, and disregard for legitimate weather-related cancellations.||I expected basic professionalism and fair treatment, but instead had to spend additional time disputing charges that should never have been applied. I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

Clean, Efficient, not extravagant but down to earth elegant simplicity. Exceptionally friendly staff - very dedicated to maintaining a spotless facility. The manager and I had a great chat, welcoming and honest hospitality, but not intrusively chatty. The owner of the franchise works incredibly hard, covering shifts, frequently around. It's clear he maintains standards by example rather than edict.

The room itself wasn't the worst but the front desk people were awful. We delt with two different people who were equally terrible. One was incompetent and the other was just rude and extremely unhelpful. We were just needing basic request and couldn't get assistance. One time we were at the front desk 15 mins and no one showed up or answered the phone that was there to "call for assistance". We've stayed in a lot of lower end hotels and the service here was at the bottom of the list. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Positive: Nothing Negative: It smelled terrible, for pet friendly there was no area to walk them. I ended up not staying there and just lost my money. The front door wouldn’t shut all the way. Front desk man was not friendly at all
