SpringHill Suites by Marriott Wheeling Triadelphia Area

Very disappointed as it was the second time visiting family. We weren’t told that there were renovations so I could not use the fitness center. There was no shampoo or soap in our room. We were given a room on the first floor and it smelled like mildew. We were given a room on the second floor. The third day I asked at the front desk to have our room cleaned and it never was. Waffle and pancakes would be a nice addition to breakfast.

Pro: Room was clean. Cons: Hotel pool is closed indefinitely (separate from the renovations listed on the site) and this information is not provided at booking. I am actually very surprised Marriott allows this. People make reservations based on the pool. I had family members book rooms here as well because of the pool and they had to go through corporate to cancel the reservation. This is unnecessary and could have been prevented had a notification been listed at booking. Not everyone can see the tiny notification on the website from their mobile phone. A noticed/popup at booking is the best option. I didn't see it until I looked at website from my computer. Check out is 11:00 AM. Most people at 10:45 are traveling back and forth from their room to their car so they can check out in time,

Positive: The front desk staff was amazing. She was so courteous and helpful. The hotel was quiet and clean. The breakfast was good. The pool area was clean. I enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend this hotel. Negative: Nothing

Close to family so location is awesome. The room was nice and clean. Only upgrade I'd like to see is walk in showers. Tubs aren't my thing and I avoid them as I get older. Staff was kind and very pleasant to deal with. I'll be back.

A good stay! Clean, quiet and an excellent breakfast! Props to the breakfast hostess as she prepares a very tasty and organized breakfast!|A couple of “road bumps” as our room door did not lock. (One would think housekeeping would check that.) When contacting the front desk they did offer for us to change rooms. Also, housekeeping puts the latch between the door and as they go in and out of the room the door bangs against the latch! |These two issues prevented us from giving this hotel a “five.”|Work on housekeeping issues! We’ll be back!
