Super 8 by Wyndham Traverse City

Horrible. Despite the posted 4p check-in, our room (Room 208) wasnt ready until after 8p. Dirty blanket left behind. Coffee machine didnt work. Heater would not blow warm air until thermostat turned to 86*, the room was cold overnight. There are no workers available and no open lobby. You have to cross the busy street to check in at the Howard Johnson hotel. Continental bfast also at the hotel across the street. Very inconvenient. And the pool is somewhere outdoors, we never did see it. Lot was not plowed so walking from car to room was hazardous. We reported our concerns but nothing was done. We did not receive an apology nor a discount, not even an extra CLEAN blanket. We will not return to this hotel. I sure hope their staffing improves so that guests are not inconvenienced.

Breakfast was unacceptable. Frozen waffles, no plates, and no milk for cereal. Asked at the front desk if there was any milk and was told, "um, no." If you are going to charge $214 per night for a Super 8, make an effort to provide a decent breakfast.||We don't expect a four-star facility when we stay at a Super 8. What we do expect is professionalism and effort.

Basic, older motor lodge style motel. Adequately clean and comfortable. You can see in the photo, coffee pods, cream and sugar packets, cups and lids but unfortunately, no friggin coffee machine to brew it in.😞 Met a cute spider in my bathtub. Seemed friendly but on the quiet side. I left an object so he could escape the tub. I noticed him on the tile wall above the tub the next morning. I now suspect he hangs out in the shower area to spy on folks. But, then again, maybe not. Being a live and let live kind guy, I left him be. Not sure how I feel about the dope smoking sign.

Positive: Staff was amazing!!! Warm wonderful greet, which made feel safe and happy! Negative: To close to street. Early morning traffic woke me up.

Overall it was a good stay. Only thing Is we got in at 10pm, had to go across the street to get room key because the office for super 8 is never open. Got into our room pair of boxers in the corner in between the TV and stand by the door and then found an ear ring. Dust along the bed. Sheets was constantly coming off because they are to small for the bed. Then the light shinning in through the vent by the bathroom sink coming from the other room.
