The Inn at Chateau Grand Traverse

An elevated family gathering space allows for a quiet relaxed stay. Beautiful rooms with great views. Chef dinner exceeded our expectations and very accommodating! Our group of ten had a great time

We have stayed at the Chateau many times in the past decade or two, and it is always a joy to be there on the Old Mission Peninsula. The grounds are lovely, the view of Grand Traverse Bay is spectacular, and the rooms are somewhat dated (limited TV offerings, limited USB connections for charging), but we can overlook that when we compare this place with the more modern offerings elsewhere. New visitors might not realize all the amenities, as check-ins are somewhat casual, and don't necessarily focus on them. But a nice workout facility, lounge area with TV, books and games, and the option to socialize with other guests are homey accents not typically found at modern hotels. Our stay at the Chateau Grand Traverse Inn was AMAZING! Exceeded our expectations!! We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary somewhere we had not been before and chose to tour the Old Mission Peninsula and spend the night. The Chateau Grand Traverse Inn was tucked away in a nice quiet spot behind the winery, with a scenic overlook, and walking distance to the winery. The grounds were very beautifully groomed, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was a special treat to receive a bottle of wine and two engraved souvenir glasses included with our stay. My husband is not a big wine drinker but we both loved our visit and will definitely be back again (...real soon).

We stayed in the room called We ine in the Woods. It has a lovely little balcony overlooking I king a wooded area. I regret i didn't take a photo of the room. I did take a photo of the tasting room, which I will share. ||The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was OK but they did not have a handicap bathroom. We were disappointed about that. ||The breakfast was good. They had fruit chunks, quiche, orange juice, bagels with cream cheese, sausages, all serve yourself||They were generous with complimentary pours in the tasting room and brought us a complimentary bottle of wine to our room. ||We felt very welcome

Small, six room inn, however the service and amenities are on par with the best hotels. Limited menu. Wines were more to my preference than other vineyards. Perfectly located among wineries and restaurants. Would stay here again.
