Super 8 by Wyndham Powell

This hotel is not my first choice to stay at it if I ever return here. The rooms themselves were good, the beds were pretty comfortable and had enough pillows. The TV in my room was tinted blue, and was practically unwatchable. The lamps near the beds did not work very well. Only one worked when we got there, and the morning after, stopped working completely. Leaving only one source of light available in the room. The heater turned on in 10-minute spurts, and kept me up all night. The shower head was not adjustable, the shower curtain was too long, and barely did anything. The shower was also quite slippery, which may not be safe for some people. The towels were stained all over, and were not very clean. The halls and room stank and you could hear everything happening all over the hotel. T

This hotel is lacking. Other reviewers have commented on the cleanliness and the lack of hot water. Our rooms were clean, but the hallways and stairs were filthy. Breakfast was lacking, but it served the purpose. My biggest issue was the hot water. The best that could be said was that it was warmer than the outside temperature. It seems that many people have complained about the lack of hot water; the hotel should have addressed the issue by now.

Positive: I liked that the front desk guy had already checked reservations and had my room key ready. This hotel isn't fancy but its right off the main road. Its quiet. I've stayed here 2x now. Yes it has a rustic design but this is Wyoming! Negative: The sign on the wall said $20 fee for pets. I was charged $30. Not sure why. I did not have more than 1 and having stayed there just a couple of weeks before, they knew I leave the room clean.

This one is a mixed bag. There was nobody at the desk on arrival or departure- but when we phoned on arrival, someone came right away & we were checked in quickly to room 122 by a nice gent. For departure, I left the keys in the basket marked "leave keys here" - seemed logical. There is mention of a renovation & I'm going to say it was a soft remodel. We appreciated the updated decor. I love it when the room look suits the area. It was rather odd tho. On entry you were at the sink, as in the door would hit you. The chain on the door was completely gone & since I do like to use the extra lock (whatever one it happens to be) I like for it to actually be there. I had a good experience here. The room was clean and in good condition, the bed was comfy. Plenty of parking, easy to get a trailer in and out. Staff was friendly. Can't ask for much more for the price.
