Super 8 by Wyndham Port Clinton

AVOID!!! AVOID!!! Honestly, it was the worst hotel I've stayed in! Had we had other options without paying hundreds more we would have left and done so! To start with, walk in the doors and the aroma was strong of incense, it was very overwhelming. The front desk employee was friendly but the older couple was very standoffish and not friendly at all. The rooms...DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT look like the pictures and they are very tired looking and dirty!!! We found a hard boiled egg behind the tv, a tylenol pill in a drawer and a cracker on the floor by the bed. We took them to the front desk and he just smiled and threw them away. |There was an incense scent in the room that wouldn't go away, I went and bought some air fresher to eliminate the original scent. |The coffee pot in the room was

The pictures are not even remotely what the hotel looks like, it is very dated. Front desk was nice but we never knew when breakfast was and that looked subpar. The beds are okay, but the rooms smell very musty and many stains on the walls and some bugs on the walls and sink. The walls are very thin.

This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room had stains on the floor, the air conditioning was broken and didn’t work throughout the night, and the bathroom was extremely small and uncomfortable. I paid $200 for a stay that wasn’t worth even $50. The entire place felt more like an old building with cramped cabins than a proper hotel. I did not enjoy my stay at all and absolutely do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was dirty, there was hair on the floor, the tub was dirty. We were in the room when the cleaning lady knocked on the door. We asked her to give us a few minutes. When we came back in the evening the room hadn't been touched.

If you need a comfy, clean,quiet, relaxing place to stay then super 8 in Port Clinton is it!!! Super friendly staff, cleanest rooms and hotel I've seen in a long while.. It is under new management so forget those older reviews and go relax for yourself you will not be disappointed they have a soda and snack machine with a great selection. Close to the islands and the point. Shopping and fast food within walking distance. Handicap accessible as well . Did I mention super nice staff. I'll stay again for sure
