Super 8 by Wyndham Pierre SD

First room we were given, looked like a murder scene in the sheets, not sure if they were stained or dirty. They swapped rooms for us no questions asked. Second room looked a lot better but the sheets had some spotting on them. Bathrooms work decent size and clean and functional. Customer service was amazing and they took care of us well without hesitation. Breakfast is ok, better than others but nothing spectacular. The waffle maker could use a good cleaning as it tears the waffles in half every time you try and remove them.

Room and hallways were nasty. Bedspread has stain on it. Shrimp and possible throw up in the hallway. Wadded up tissue in the room's door peep hole so couldn't see out, making it unsafe. Air conditioner in our room didn't work for AC, only worked for heat or fan. Employee told me a room rate when I went to book and changed it when I had already started paying.

Hotel is conveniently located in downtown Pierre. Room is slightly dirty with a weird smell.

Dirtiest hotel room I've stayed in over 20 years of travel, including military installations. Out of 6 pillows, I settled for the two with the least stains on them. The bathroom ceiling had a water leak that was poorly patched and continued to drip into the tub. The patch work was dropping into the bathroom and unto the toilet seat. Light was burned out. Towels were very heavily worn.

Found bed bugs and reported it to the desk. Mgt said nothing. No offer to change rooms or discount. Even brought one bug to the front desk. Gave excuses on how hard and costly they are to control. Sheets had little stains when arrived but figured we couldn't check out without paying one night. They didn't seem concerned with correcting the problem. I WOULD NOT STAY THERE.
