Super 8 by Wyndham Monticello

I booked this hotel through Hotwire. It was by far the WORST hotel I've ever stayed at. The room smelled damp and musty. I regret not looking further when we dropped our stuff off quickly after checking in. When we returned, it was late and that's when we noticed some of the issues. We were so tired and just wanted to sleep, we didn't want to deal with having to move all our stuff, so we didn't ask for a new room. In the morning, we saw the extent of the issues. There was mold in/on the AC/heat register. The bathroom had what surely looked like mold to me on the ceiling. We got 1 bath towel for the 2 of us staying. The drain in the shower was draining super slow and I was standing ankle deep in water by the end of my shower, which was not long. The pool was not in order, but the website do

I stayed at Super 8 for a 4 night stay and had a great experience, for the price, of course. The hotel and my room were very clean. The many amenities included a pool, exercise room, refrigerator and microwave in my room, and a nice table for my laptop.. Morning breakfasts were tasty with decent variety. | Also of note is that several restaurants are within a block away, easy walking distance. | Hotel staff were friendly and helpful in arranging my early check-in. | Bottom line, this Super 8 hotel was a great value with very nice accommodations.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was unacceptable. The parking lot was extremely noisy at night, and the loud music from neighboring rooms made it impossible to rest. Even worse, the adjoining room was smoking, which completely defeated the purpose of booking a non-smoking room. My key card repeatedly stopped working, forcing multiple trips back to the front desk. On top of that, the toilet leaked onto the bathroom floor — unsanitary and unsafe.

Just needed a place to stay for the night. Room was clean, though one of the two bath towels was a dingy gray. The a/c unit was loud, but kept the room a comfortable temperature. The mattress was a bit on the firm side for our tastes, which led to my wife having a less restful night's sleep. For the price, this motel was just fine, and we would stay here again.

Positive: The staff were respectful and efficient. Everything was very clean, I just am a QA Inspector and will notice things like a filter left in coffee pot or a spot on the wall behind door so I couldn?t give it a 10! The night girl was so sweet and courteous! Negative: Like everything, thanks for the great experience!
