AmericInn Motel - Monticello

Car broke down here in Monticello, needed a place to stay until car was ready, if I could rate this place ten stars, I would! Americinn has everything you really need, a place to sleep, to shower, and to eat free breakfast. We were down on our luck here, and didn’t take anything here for granted. We were thankful to have a roof over our heads, warm water, understanding and down to earth staff, and free breakfast. The staff is AMAZING, I cannot stress that enough! Super accommodating, super sweet and kind! As much as it sucked to be broken down hours away from home, in a way, I am thankful to have broken down and stayed at this motel.

I double checked with staff prior to booking and arrival that my service animal would be accepted. They confirmed it was not a problem and were friendly when I checked in, but 2 days later notified me that I was being kicked out because I violated their animal policy. I was given no warning, and I booked 14 days there. I wasn't offered a refund for the 11 days I wasn't allowed to stay, and they are charging me with a $250 fee for deep cleaning of the room even though I left the room cleaner than when I arrived. My animal was well-behaved and caused to problems or damage. They refuse to give me contact info for the owner, and all I know his name is Chad. Quiet rooms and good price. Bedding, towels seem new, new paint in rooms. VERY old carpet. Stayed 2 nights, VERY quiet both nights. Breakfast is coffee/tea, pastry, cereal, yogurt, toast, orange juice...you won't starve! Older hotel at food price.

This hotel is right next to Taco Bell (which is awesome) and just across the street from Cub Foods, so the location is super convenient. The staff were really nice—when I asked for an extra pillow, they gave me a brand new one! The room had everything I needed: a fridge with a freezer, a microwave, and a smart TV with apps already on it (just no accounts logged in, which was totally fine). They serve free breakfast, and when we were checking out, they even gave us some extra muffins they hadn’t used that morning—just because! It was super affordable too. I liked this hotel a lot and would definitely stay here again.

You have to use the Taco Bell entrance??? Trailers would be difficult then to leave you zigzag through Taco Bell parking lot? Deodorant smell is almost flammable. Price listed $74 ended up $110 to late to change plans, I recommend spend the extra $10 somewhere else.
