Customer Reviews
Deplorable and disappointing. The room that I was initially assigned looked like someone got into a fight with the space - hole in the wall, broken lamp shade and a broken bathroom door. I asked for another room. This second option had a very strong smell of Indian food spices. The third room I ended up taking (too tired after a day of driving). It lacked a security lock, the hair dryer was gone, and the Kleenex box empty. The next morning one of the guests had an over 60 lb German Sheppard dog that he had taken just outside the front door. This dog was very vicious and if the owner didn't have a good grip on it the dog likely would have attacked me. Very sparse breakfast. No lids for the coffee, which was definitely not Starbucks despite the cannister labeling. NOTE - Google
This motel is good for a one night stay if you are on the Cumberland and Ohio towpath canal trail. Otherwise I would not recommend it. The staff is friendly, they have a hose to wash off your bikes, the bathroom was clean. However, our room smelled like cigarette smoke, the bedding had burn holes in it, the blanket and bedspread seemed like they had not been changed since 1970 and were creepy to the feel, like too many people had used them and you were not sure they were clean. Don't count on breakfast, there were 4 granola bars, the sugary kind, 1 pathetic wrapped Danish, and some sugary cereal. Coffee ran out, all by 7:30 in the morning.
Really enjoyed my stay here. Showers are excellent and the atmosphere is like a homey 70's vibe, which I love! The front desk attendant, Jason, was ABSOLUTELY the sweetest and answered every question I had without missing a beat. Will definitely be back!
Positive: "" Negative: Full size mattresses on queen sized platforms. Not only hard on the legs, the mattresses would slide areound on the platforms.
Its not the ritz. You get what you pay for. Bed was super comfy and the guy at the counter was very nice. The walls are paper thin and people were walking and talking passed 3-4 am.
