Potomac River Motel

I’m from Europe and I really enjoyed my visit here. the place is beautiful and peaceful and the atmosphere makes you feel welcome right away. The people are very kind and friendly and everything was clean and well organized. I felt comfortable and had a really good experience. I truly recommend this place to other europeans who want to discover something authentic and special. I will come back for sure!

It's a lovely motel, very quiet, kid and pet friendly. Came here for vacation with my family and loved staying here. The owner was very nice an respectful. Im definitely coming back!

Clean, comfortable, and pleasant, this historic hotel is situated right off Rt 40 before you cross the bridge to West Virginia. I first heard about this place when looking for a hub to visit other areas, and Hancock MD was perfect! After arriving, I learned the long history of this town and even this hotel-- it's over 100 years old! About a year ago the current owners bought it as it was falling into disarray, but they have been hard at work restoring it to its former glory. I'm so happy I ran across this place, and I'll definitely be coming back if I'm in the area.

It's a beautiful Motel with lots of personal touch. The owner puts alot of time and energy into making your stay enjoyable and comfortable. She has a wonderful breakfast every day. Motel is super clean. Love Marie the owner..

This motel is affordable and gave us what we needed for a night of rest during our Pittsburgh > DC bike trip - comfy bed and hot shower. It was quiet and the other guests were friendly. On the map it looks close to the little downtown with restaurants, and it is, but Blue Hill that the motel is located on is a hill that we walked down and then up for dinner nearby. Thanks for having us!
