Super 8 by Wyndham Canandaigua

Advertisement said it included a continental breakfast, not the case, coffee only! No smoking signs everywhere but smells like heavy cigarette smoke and air freshener trying to cover it up. Our floors in the room were sticky. Bathroom towels had dirt stains. Front desk staff stays in office and only comes out after minuses of waiting. You can tell they're trying to update with new beds and some newer furniture, but bathrooms and linens really need help.

Booked hotel in March 2025, drove 4 hours from Canada to Canandaigua (NY), arrived to check into hotel on Aug 29, 2025 around 3:30pm to be informed that my booking was cancelled on Aug 25, 2025, front desk associate advised that since I booked through Ticketmaster they had no contact information for me so that is why they could not notify me of the cancellation, we were travelling with 2 other couples and one couple called Ticketmaster while we were still at the hotel to find out that the reservation was still active on their end/not cancelled, only other vacancy in the city was approximately $1000/night (CDN) and since we were backed into a corner with nowhere else to stay we had to book it, they only had 3 rooms left which is exactly what was required for our group/what was originally bo

Absolutely horrible service . My sister left to go to appointments for 3 days meanwhile her room was covered by dss and paid for . The workers illegally let someone stay in her room and go through her stuff and steal from her . When she returned to the hotel they said her room was cleared out . Later the police showed up and the story changed . Her stuff was still in the room and somebody had stolen her valuables! As the staff tried to cover it up!

Positive: Location Negative: Hotel has alof construction going on. Room has plaster with some holes and wasn't so clean. No one around to check out even when ringjng bell for service. When there was a hotel employee around they were helpful thus the rating reflected that.

There were cockroaches and our bed was moist and smelled funny. Paint peeling, cracked walls. The place was disgusting. We dropped over $300 in rooms and ended up going next door to the Holiday Inn. Do not stay here.
