Super 8 by Wyndham Asbury Park

I want to say the name is now called the ( ANCHOR INN ) It's very quiet, staff is polite and it's very clean. There's no DRUGS. The new owners are very strict on traffic and drugs so if that is what u are into this is not the place for you this new owners cleaned it up. Police patrol daily. There's no crime I've left my door open several times and went to the office you must be a registered guest and visitors must check in at the office they're very strict on that if you are looking for a place that's quiet, clean, and you are in need of rest than this is the place for you. If you have a vehicle it will be safe no matter what I've been here for a year due to a fire in the apartments I lived and waiting on another place to open. So, I know what it's like here. I rarely write reviews unless they are positive, however this Super 8 was pretty nasty considering the price. The staff were friendly and the condition of the motel, I guess, was not their fault, but the rooms were musty and smelly. We stayed for one night and intentionally did not spend much time there. The carpet had a huge stain that extended out the door and onto the filthy walkway. Beds were comfortable and AC worked well. It would take much to clean the place up. Why carpets if you're not going to clean them once and a while?

I went there to meet someone for a hookup. I get to the room. The person answers the door. I immediately noticed there was no sign that anyone was staying in the room other than just the person. He was immediately trying to make me jump in the shower. I was super uncomfortable. I went into the bathroom with all my belongings, he then proceeded to try and make me leave my clothes outside the bathroom. When I refused I heard room the door slam. I knew immediately what was going on. Got a text from the number I was texting prior saying "police were on the way, this is an employee and we caught you on camera" I was already half way up the highway to the quick check, I wasn't sticking around after realizing I was almost robbed. I'm not sure if an employee set this up or some person who broke in

(June 2023) Motel or not NO EXCUSES! Very obvious Housekeeping literally just makes the beds. Little to no effort in cleaning the rooms. Carpet hasn’t been vacuumed in who knows when. Caked up stains on the wall with hair in it very FOUL!! And Most importantly White Linens are a Bad choice if you’re not going to CLEAN them properly.The mystery stains on ALL the lines even the new ones I requested from front desk, DISGUSTING!! Past due for new linens! Even the Lamp Shades are disgusting. I’m More them sure I saw a blood stain. On a more positive Great customer service. Something needs to be done! New Housekeeping staff or Management needs to tighten up! (Images Attached)

It's such a shame!!! My Dad & I wanted to spend a couple of days together for a mini Father/Daughter vacation. Dad chose this Hotel. It was reasonably priced. The bedding didn't appear to be clean, my blanket had a big cigarette burn in it. We had a pretty big leak under the bathroom sink both days. The shower is small & uncomfortable, there is no outlet in the bathroom for a blow dryer. The last night we were there, there were guests a couple of rooms away that were hanging outside their room, speaking loudly, laughing loudly, playing music in their room.We were not able to get any sleep! The outside of the Hotel is filled with garbage around the whole perimeter. We got so angry, we packed out bags and left at 4:30am. Guess we won't be staying here anymore.
