Sunny Pines Resort

We've been coming here for years and it's always a pleasure. Owners are very easy to deal with (venmo payment is an extra plus!) Cabins are clean and well stocked. Being right on the lake is so perfect. Pontoon rental is always a highlight. Looking forward to many more summers up there!

Sunny Pines is a wonderful getaway, close to downtown, yet feels as though you are away in nature. Owners are super friendly, kind and helpful and ensure your stay is a memorable one! Highly recommend Sunny Pines!

We stayed at Sunny Pines Resort from the 4th of July to the 11th of July. As it was the peak is the busy time of year, we got very lucky with finding a last minute opening here at the resort. No clue what we were getting for a cabin and we found it to be incredible! Cabin 2 was clean, large enough to not be cramped, great bed and was impressed the water heater kept up with the teenage kids all showering all the time! We rented a pontoon as well. It ran great, older but it had tons of room and was fairly good on gas. Last thing I will say is the owner was out there the minute I pulled in to check in, greeted me by name like we were old friends, showed me where I could find things. He was super accommodating, nice and friendly. Most owners collect the money and you don’t see them again. T

Well taken care-of resort. Cabins are clean (think more rustic not posh) and setting on the Chetek lake is very good. Many resorts on this chain of lakes have cabins farther from the lake and/or up a hill, so direct access at ground level from ALL cabins is a big bonus for us. Owners are fantastic, making sure needs are met and quick to help with requests or issues.
