Shady Grove Resort

The owners are awesome. They treat you like family. Awesome location. Even gave us fishing tips. I've been going to the same cabin for the last 4 years. Already Reserved for next year.Dawn and Joel are friends at this point. I can't recommend this place more than I do now!!! Awesome trip.

If you are wanting a relaxing getaway, visit shady Grove Resort. We do not own a boat but it was easy to rent a pontoon fully furnished with life jackets and safety equipment. The cabins were nice and great for a not to rustic getaway. 😀The owners, Joel and Dawn, were amazing.

We have rented cabin 9 for our family with 4 adults and 3 kids for a week. Shady Grove is quaint, clean, and quiet. We also rent a pontoon during our visits. The cabin has a spacious kitchen open to the living area, 2 large bedrooms, and a bathroom. It is not luxurious, but it is clean and very livable. Even though the cabins are non-smoking, we find that we have to air it out upon arrival. The outdoor firepit area is private, and the front porch is nice for sitting on, too. The walk down to the docks is scenic and paved. The play area is adequate for kids. The new renovations to the fish house are amazing with a stainless steel counter and 3 sinks for cleaning your catch, if you are lucky to have a good catch. ;) The water at Prairie Lake tends to be very green in July.August

We rented a pontoon for a week from shady grove resort and only have positive things to say about the rental and rental experience! The owners are probably the nicest people you’ll ever meet and quick to respond to all your needs. When I lost the ladder they even allowed me to go back to the Airbnb to check to see if it I left it behind before paying for a replacement. When I couldn’t locate it, they were super understanding and gave a beyond fair price for the replacement! Thank you for your kindness and giving us such a positive experience on Chetek chain of lakes! Also, boat #5 gave us the comfort of lounging and fishing!
