This was a great place to stay. Older buildings with a lot of character and VERY clean. The innkeeper is super nice and accommodating. A bit intrusive with knocking late evening and early morning to check on in on us, but it is nice that he is concerned about the comfort of his guests. I would absolutely stay again a and recommend others to book their stay here as well
Let's start with a positive. It's the cheapest place I've seen on Miracle Mile. Now the negatives. When I first arrived, the towels that were presented on the bedspread had a bedbug crawling on them. The bedspread, which I was assured was clean, was not. Under normal conditions that is disgusting. During a viral pandemic, it's potentially deadly. The old tube tv was not only filthy, but it also had to be unplugged to turn off. The under bedding and bed itself was filthy and had blood stains. On check out day, the owner harassed me an hour before check out time. We no longer live in an age where business owners take advantage of their guests. This is the age of accountability. I cannot recommend this place.
One of the cleaner "roach motels" on Miracle Mile, but when I checked in the guy charged my debit card then wrote all the card info on a slip of paper after photocopying my driver's license. When I asked him why are you writing down my debit card info he pretended not to understand English. Of course, I got a new card. But that is a definite red flag for fraud. You've already charged my debit card, there no reason you'd need to write the number, exp date and ccv code on a little slip of paper with a photocopy of my DL. Would not go back. Plus he tried to cheat me out of half the deposit, which was $20. When i asked for my deposit back, he says "ten dollars?" I said "No. I gave you $20!" Overall, very sketchy.
Went to inquire about daily cost at night/day window. A little man in a dingy, sweat stained shirtsleeves opens the trap of the barely transparent plexiglass "shield for our safety" covid -19 mitigation system. I ask the little fellow "how much for a night" He replied "65 a Night plus room Deposit plus key Deposit. I responded candidly "last time I stayed here a few years ago it was only 40 a night." The short grimy man's countenance darked and he retorted "Now it is 85 a night." i look at the dirty little managerr an said " You are really going to add twenty dollars just because I said it was less expensive lat time I stay here" the lilman yells"The cheap hotels are down the street." I opened my camera on my phone and took a few pictures to go with this review. All that has been submitte
The air condition did not work and was falling apart. There were holes in the blankets on the bed. The refrigerator did not look like it worked. The bathroom was way too small. I asked if they had another room, I was told all the rooms were the same. When I asked for a refund, I was told they could not give me a refund, even though I was only in the room for less than 5 minutes. Definitely do not recommend.
