Sun Beach Motel

😊: Loved the location, the lake view was great. Nice outdoor patio area. Room was comfortable and clean. The owner was very friendly. There were not many restaurants or shops nearby. There was a lovely walking path along the shore.. 😢: No housekeeping services, for day 2, no extra towels or coffee packages to accommodate this miss. ( we had a room with fridge and microwave only. No one was at the office. Disappointed if we needed to contact anyone we had to call as they were off site. We were not given the wifi password..

Great customer service start to finish. We were there off season and price was excellent for a two bed room with fridge and microwave. Location Location Location our suite 12 was right on the beach and we enjoyed this view with every opportunity and loved the ducks. Nice dock on private beach. the bed was comfy as well as the pillows and all our needs were met if there was anything we asked for. there is a BBQs available and good lounging area with other friendly guests. This is an older property but it was also charming and we loved it for sure it was close to the walking area and picnic area near the fountain on main road and short walk to store....dont hesitate great 3 day stay.

I’m here right now and honestly, I was a little hesitant to book after reading some of the reviews, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The room is super clean, really quiet, and very comfortable. I was a bit worried about that one review mentioning spiders, but I haven’t seen a single one. The lakefront location is beautiful and they have lots of floaties you can use, which adds such a fun touch. There’s even a BBQ available, although I never cook on vacation so I didn’t use it. The staff have been great—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I’ve stayed at Walnut Beach Resort before and I actually like it here more. It feels more quaint and peaceful, like a hidden gem. So far, nothing but good things to say.

😊: lovely location and patio area. great view,. 😢: 2nd bedroom no window, hot and stuffy. needs a non slip mat in bathtub, overall appearance of motel is run down, air conditioner had broken pieces, outside upper walkway - probably has rotting floorboards, very spongy/springy. needs a lot of upkeep but property is managed by locals who try their best but motel is owned by offshore owner..

The outdoor space is 5 stars. We swam in the lake everyday and ate outside every evening. The rooms have everything you need. They are clean but basic. You will not be in your room much anyway. There is a big willow tree in the courtyard and lots of chairs to relax on and the lake is right there. My family of 4 loved it here and the owners gave such wonderful service.
