Suburban Studios Millville

To the Staff at Suburban Studios, I would like to begin by offering an apology for my initial impression of your Millville, NJ facility based solely on its exterior appearance. That judgment was premature, and I want to acknowledge that openly. My stay on 02/27/2026 was outstanding. From the professionalism of the Front Desk Associate to the cleanliness and condition of the room, everything exceeded my expectations. After reading reviews across several platforms, I can confidently say that your establishment truly values and upholds the customer experience. The only improvement I would suggest is the posting of a clear noise ordinance. During my stay, a group of individuals held a gathering with loud music and conversation. The room itself was nice. The room was large, the bed was comfortable and it was clearly upgraded relatively recently. But outside the room was not so nice. The walkway was in deep need of care. Also, while the rooms themselves are 'no smoking', smoking outside the rooms is allowed, many guests were smoking near us, and so it still is disturbing to guests who don't appreciate the smell. The pool was also nice -- large and clean - but in a strange location by the parking lot. The breakfast was good - had everything you could need. And Eve at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.

Room was dated. All the furniture surfaces were very sticky and tacky. The room had an odd odor. People evidently congregate outside their rooms, was very noisy. Also could hear talking inside coming from adjoining rooms. On a positive note the front desk staff was very friendly and personable.

Hotel gave service everyday and this is rare nowadays, so kudos to the owner. Agents were pleasant. Rooms have thin walls I guess but not something that can be changed easily. Bathroom base heaters can get some better maintenance. Also owner can check if there are other hotels liquidating furniture to get better night stands. Nothing to cut points for. Our kids had fun exploring Cape May, Ocean City beach & boardwalk and Wildwoods Beach and boardwalk.

I'm going to give this one 5 stars. Yes, it's just a motel but the last 2 years it's been clean and fairly modern for the most part. The only downside is the AC is in the back of the room. Constantly goes on and off. Not quickly but it can get a little warm overnight. The thermostat should be able to go lower or maybe move the unit or upgrade. Looks like they are upgrading the beds. That's a plus. A bit uncomfortable. Pool is really nice and clean. Bedding is clean and fresh. Many channels on tv including HBO and Max. Friendly staff and free breakfast. Grounds are kept neat and tidy. I'm very picky with where I stay. Other than the bed and AC its very convenient and meets our needs. We have no problem staying here again, and would even recommend to friends and family. The motel just has to
