Studio 6 Lake Charles, LA

I stayed at the Studio 6 Lake Charles about 4 months.All services are amazing.We are safe, happy and very stratified with everything.Ms.Hema, Ms.Tolu,Ms.Rita and Mr.Charles are very friendly, kind and always taking care to us. House keeping service team are very helpful and very friendly.We miss you all guys.We will be back definitely if we visit Lake Charles (Very peaceful and beautiful city)again.❤️❤️

Positive: Felt safer than OYO or Best Western. Close to decent restaurants and behind a Stripes. Negative: The bed was hard, lumpy, and uncomfortable. Shampoo conditioner and hair dryer at front desk; not same brands. Front desk does not answer phone claiming lines are down yet room phones work. Cleaning loudly laughed & banged on doors at 7 am.

1: I had already paid for the room through booking.com, when I got there it was saying I didn’t pay at all. I showed the lady everything receipts, my confirmation number and pin, I also showed the date and time I paid. I know it’s not her fault for anything because I did go through a site but, she was rude about it and saying that maybe my cards locked and other things. She didn’t really hear me out she just kept saying I need to pay again. She said I was trying to argue with her but I kept calm the whole time, I just didn’t understand anything going on. I asked for the manager and she still had an attitude with me and my husband. Then you have to pay $25 for plates!!!??? Just for the plates. They had baby roaches in the room as well!! I stayed here for the weekend to visit my son. I will say I have stayed here before and I enjoyed it. This time was a total nightmare. The room I was staying in looked as if someone had previously broke into because the door was messed up. I understand this is an extended stay hotel but the clientele is suspect at best. Children running up and down the hallway all day doors slamming so loud makes you jump. The worst part is returning to my room on Saturday night the entire second floor smelled like nothing but weed. It was so bad I had to put a towel at the bottom of my door to help keep the smoke and smell out of the room. We stayed at this property right after the city had gone through extreme winter weather and water shortages. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was clean and very functional. We felt safe and slept well. Shampoo, lotion and blow drier were available on request, and there was a functional kitchen with a few dishes. Coffee was provided in room. ||||It was very overpriced for the accommodations, but that may be due to the shortage of available rooms after 2 hurricanes and water damage from freezing.
