Stony Creek Family Campground

A small, clean campground with weekend activities. The price per night for a full hookup site ($38) leaves you more money to explore what the Adirondacks has to offer!! Only 20 minutes from Lake George, 15 minutes from Lake Luzerne, 45 minutes from the Adirondack Museum. The camp store has a variety of things to purchase at reasonable prices!!! The camp staff was also very friendly and helpful. They ran a special, stay 6 nights get the 7th free- which gave us an extra day to stay and play around in the creek that runs through the campground! The weekends get busy with seasonal campers but still quiet during quiet hours. During the week it felt as if we had the campground to ourselves! No bear siting's on our trip made it even better. We called here at 3pm on Saturday the weekend of 4th of July and asked if they had a tent site available, and they did! When we got there, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Prices couldn't be beat. Store was great for little things you may forget to bring. Showers and bathroom were clean. We had a great 2 night stay. Best part about this place was NO CELL SERVICE!!!!! Loved that. Completely stress free holiday weekend. We will be returning here next year for sure!

Stony Creek at was one of our many choices . We rented a cabin was like one of those Mini Houses. Nice Porch with a picnic table with overhang for Rain. Clean bathroom with real Toilet, plenty of hot water . Firm Mattresses. I am a big guy and was comfortable in the sleeping space.There was another deck attached with chairs large fire pit and nice clean site. My son parked his camper right next to ours and they let us set up a tent between very very accommodating people. Remember this is Camping. For some reason most of Lake George have Short Picnic Tables so if you are Tall or Big you might want to bring your own chair

My husband, kids and I went for a 3 day weekend. The facility was very clean and well cared for. The camp store was great especially if you forget things like we did. The owners were extremely nice and the seasonal campers were super friendly. We stayed in a pop up and had a nice site (#2). We would go back again. My kids loved the pool and walking in the creek.

This was not the type of campground we prefer. Pictures on the website suggested private wooded sites, but we were in a field with everyone else. The sites were mostly bare dirt, so a lot got tracked into our rig. Wi-fi was effectively non-existent at our campsite, and poor outside the office. We didn’t use the bathhouse at all, so can’t make any comments about it. There was a small pool , which we also didn’t use. That being said, it was quiet at night, which is important. So this campground is “acceptable @, although we don’t plan to return here.
