Moon Shadow Lodge Ltd

My bf and i stayed at the cuckoos best, which is right beside moon shadow lodge (which is closed). It was clean, comfy bed, very quaint and cozy. Main area heated with propane heater. Bedroom heated with a small electric fire place. Stayed plenty warm while there. Also has a woodstove, but we didnt use it. There was some wood provided. Utensils, dishes, coffee cups, cookware provided. No oven. 4 propane burners, a toaster oven, microwave, crock pot, outside grill and full size fridge and freezer there. Brought food to grill, but couldnt get grill to light, cooked inside instead. Disappointed of that. Nice personal touches, ex: playing cards, puzzles, couple games, poker chips, books, and pamphlets for the area. Extra pillows and bedding. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Very "homey"!! ❤ No

Its really pretty but the cabin gets too cold and the heater in the bedroom has a weird smell. There are spiders in the house and it's insanely dusty.

Check in was no earlier than 6 pm . We were tired from the drive there . We checked in only to find the place filthy . Stained carpets , old used coffee in the coffee pot , old food in the sink . Dried . One half opened bottle of Merlot on the counter . not sure how long that was sitting there . Dirty floors , bedroom had blood stained sheets . Never changed them . And the kicker , was mouse droppings and half eaten seeds on bedroom carpet floor . We walked out in the morning 6am , after sleeping in our clothes for fear of catching bugs and asked for one night refund only to have the host deny . We are still fighting with Air B and B for the refund . Rent at your own risk !!

Nice place and the host Sue, is very generous had an issue with the WiFi for one night and she went and bought a signal booster the next day. She definitely went above and beyond.
