Stoney Creek Hotel La Crosse - Onalaska

I'm giving it 3 stars. We stayed in Room 135 (whirlpool suite) back in 2021 and loved it. Very clean. Very relaxing. (Everything was hyper clean during covid!) This time it was NOT clean.... We decided to get away for a night alone after hosting Thanksgiving this year, so I booked the same room. We had a snowstorm coming so we booked it for a second night when we arrived. I didn't use the whirlpool tub until the 2nd day. I filled it, got in, turned on the jets. Ahhh. So nice. Except...when the jets turned off I realized there was gunk floating all over in the water, including a dead bug. 😭 I got out and showered immediately. (Twice!) Then I worried about what else hadn't been cleaned. It was the weekend, and evening, and we were told there was no housekeeping to clean it for us. I was so d

This was a poorly managed and frustrating stay. The pool was closed on Saturday with no meaningful explanation, which immediately set the tone. Front desk support was painfully slow and staff that seemed overwhelmed or uninterested. Housekeeping was another mess. Basic supplies were hard to get and took forever to arrive, if they arrived at all. Breakfast was a joke. Late at night, there was excessive noise, and staff did little to nothing to address it despite complaints. On top of that, the room itself had maintenance issues that clearly hadn’t been dealt with before our arrival. Overall, this hotel feels understaffed, disorganized, and not worth the price.

What a beautiful place to stay !! First the location was just the best, near everything. The room was just amazing, we had the room with the jacuzzi tub in it (that was super cool and not that super expensive). This was a beautifully put together hotel. The value for your money is here, great pool, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, quiet rooms hardly could tell there were other guests, the service was perfect, everything was just perfect.

Comfortable hotel located in an excellent spot near lots of stores. Pool was good. Breakfast was ok but for a more expensive hotel it was still comparable to an American Inn. Shampoo and conditioner bottles in shower not working. All in all it was a good stay for a kids hockey team. Thanks!!
