Spark by Hilton La Crosse Onalaska

The hotel looks newly renovated but it is easy to tell that the hotel was a previous hotel before with a fresh layer of paint. The hotel itself was fine to stay at, especially for the price. The heating/cooling is a bit noisy and the rooms are designed differently, even in the same category, which was interesting. The breakfast bagels were fine, but unfortunately the yogurt machine was broken. The staff were very nice and attentive and even checked in by text to see if I needed anything during my stay

A great offering from a basic hotel. Staff were welcoming and helpful, our room was large, quiet and great heating. The beds were comfortable. Lots of towels. Perhaps a bit dated. Good, basic cold breakfast as advertised. Well placed for food takeouts and walking trails

This is our second stay at the Spark Onalaska. The hotel is very nicely remodeled. We stayed the first time in a King room with a pull out sofa (comfortable as any pull out sofa can be) and the second in a 2 queen room. The beds are comfortable, sheets and bedding are crisp and clean, pillows are comfortable, there are 2 down and 2 synthetic pillows for variety. The carpets and accessory furniture are in excellent condition, like new and very clean. The rooms are large, they accommodate families well. Bathrooms are in good shape and well kept. Surfaces are cleaned, wiped and sanitized. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for inexpensive lodging.

Surprisingly nice hotel. Newly renovated (stayed Oct 2025). I’ve never stayed at a Spark by Hilton and I found it to be a great option for the times when you just need a quick stay. Great value hotel (~$120 for the night) and included a decent quick breakfast of bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt and fruit. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely appointed, quiet, clean, plenty of toiletries, towels and hair dryer. My room had a nice size TV, mini fridge, plenty of lighting and a desk for those traveling on business. The location is right in a Mecca of shopping (Kohls, Dicks Sporting Goods,Hobby Lobby and more), restaurants (Olive Garden, Texas Road House and many more) and gas stations.
