Stonehurst Manor

My girlfriend and I had an incredibly beautiful and relaxing time away here at the Stonehurst manor. From booking the room over the phone, arrival and check in as well as all questions were handled by Mike. Very friendly and informative during our stay. The manor is absolutely beautiful, and the smell of wood fire place permeates the building. A victorian feel, and historically kept. The room was beautiful and spacious and was very home felt and relaxing. We enjoyed an incredible dinner and breakfast at the Wild Rose restaurant located in the manor itself. It was an absolutely beautiful experience and we will be back again soon.

This was our third trip up to the manor. We absolutely love that dinner and breakfast are always included with our stay. The bartender (I forgot her name but it was her first weekend working) at the library was absolutely incredible, from memorizing the way we liked to drink our martinis to getting to know about our days -even posing for photos with us. Emma and Payton in the dining room were absolutely fantastic. Emma was our waitress for all three nights, she went above and beyond for us. Payton served us breakfast two out of the three mornings. He was so kind. Yes, the manner is old and has character, as I like to call it New England charm. We went on Friday night prior to Valentine’s Day for our Valentines dinner. We’ve been before for drinks and it is a quaint, Very nice place For drinks. We decided to have dinner and it was extremely disappointing. We both had the fillet with au poive Sauce, mashed potatoes And carrots. The steak was so tough and flavorless, and it was not seared. There was not a peppercorn in sight. The mashed potatoes had zero flavor. My husband ate about half of the steak because he was hungry, but he did not eat the rest.I told the Server she took my plate, came back, said that they would give us a dessert offered on the house. This was a great place to visit. Our room had no way to control the heat, the room next to us was able to and it seamed to go off the one thermostat… there was also no knob on the dresser to open the door to hang up items. Rooms were very clean but just need to be “fixed” like putting a knob on. There were also multiple holes in the walls and chips in the paint. Staff were amazing and very helpful and kind. The view from our window in the morning was beautiful!

OMG this place is so horrible The room was recommended by front desk as the best one in the Manor It was absolutely terrible First let’s start with second floor no elevator thank god it was only one night not much luggage then the lock to the front door was a fight had to keep wiggling the key to get in But staff is already aware maybe sometime in the future it will be replaced and the room was awful there is nothing nice in it luxury it is not classy it is not it is very dingy it looks like someone purchased the furniture and accessories at a yard sale This room is supposed to be a honeymoon suite the most rented here but it actually looks like a tenement house in NewBedford Mass. And I know this cause I’m from that area the spa tub is definitely just for one person it definitely has had
