Staybridge Suites Houston East - Baytown by IHG

Friendly staff, cool property with a fire pit, but the rooms are mid. They are carpet rooms with lots of upholstery that is dingey. Room had a musty smell. Bed was comfortable though. Fine if you’re looking for a quick break, but nothing to rave about.

Never written a review for a hotel but this was a must. The best hotel I’ve stayed at by far. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and location is right off the 10 fwy. My suite had a full kitchen with an electric stovetop and full sized fridge. Not to mention a dishwasher! Room was very clean upon arrival with clean bedding as well. And right across from my suite they provide storage rooms for occupants too. Now to the amenities. The full breakfast provided every morning was truly impressive. Waffle machine, hot breakfast foods, pastries, oatmeal, and all the condiments to go with it was sure to fill you for your day. Gym had treadmills, a sit down cycling bike, an elliptical, dumbbells, a cable machine, and even yoga mats. And most helpful for my stay was the complimentary laundry r

This was the ideal place for us to stay while visiting the area for a friend’s birthday. Upon arrival, the hotel felt grand and luxurious, especially compared to other hotels in the area. The parking lot was spacious, safe, and well-lit, and the landscaping was beautiful. Check-in was fast and easy. Our room was clean, spacious, and delightful, with unexpected touches to make us feel special and welcomed (including towels folded like swans - so cute!). The breakfast buffet was really good, and we enjoyed the hangout spaces (the outdoor patio was lovely at night). It was an awesome stay!!

So glad I read a review on this hotel! They are much more than a five in our book! We usually stay in Marriott properties, but if IGH is like this other places we would surely switch! It is clean and quiet and has all the amenities of home! The staff was very helpful and super friendly! We registered Christian for the employee award and hope he wins! They have two nice grills out back, which saved us some money. We enjoyed their Social on Monday night, which was delightful! We will definitely be staying here on our trip back home! Loved our time here!
