Star Hotel Route 66-Grand Canyon

If you're looking for a modern fancy hotel, this is not it. But if you're looking for a clean, quaint, vintage-style hotel, this is where you want to stay. The building is older, and therefore not sound-proofed, with creaky and uneven floors and wall air conditioner units. However, the rooms are very clean, the beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is nicely updated, and the water is instantly HOT! We were there two nights and we stayed in a 2 room 3 queen bed space, which was great since we had four adults. Our room was very clean and well-stocked when we arrived, and bonus, our room was cleaned again, the beds made, and the towels and washclothes restocked while we were out during the day. I was desperate for a hotel room and managed to grab a room here for $100. The sleeve for the keycards had obviously been reused many times, which it turned out was the first warning sign. The room was small with dirty walls and floor. There was a large gap under the door that gave a cold draft. There was no nightstand, no room for it, and no convenient outlets to charge my phone and other devices. I ended up using my laptop as an extension to the bathroom outlet and charged everything on the bed. There was no trashcan in the bathroom and there was graffiti on the wall of the bathroom. It was also so cramped that trying to dry off that my towel and I kept bumping against the toilet. The shower and bathroom floor actually looked fairly clean, but there was a used coffee stirrer on the floor

Not sure why this has got such a high rating. Room was standard motel room, had everything we needed. Staff were helpful. Adequate parking.

At first sight, king rooms were very small, but they were VERY clean. Small, but we stayed 2 nights and the beds were very comfortable. Walking distance to everything in Williams. My daughter runs every morning and felt safe by herself.

Star Motel is a historic and quaint motel and although it is old, the room we stayed in was built in the fifties; the rooms are meticulously maintained, clean and reasonably priced. We were warmly welcomed by the owners who also work the front desk and greet guests personally. |We were in the older wing of the motel which was fine for us as we had our two dogs and we were on the ground floor with no one above us. The motel is centrally located in Williams making everything we did quite convenient. |The room we were in was small but it had a king size bed, good sized tv, microwave and refrigerator and the heater which we needed worked efficiently and quietly.
