Extremely Disappointing Stay & No Resolution I rarely leave reviews, but this experience needs to be shared. I booked a 1-bedroom suite at this IHG location and was looking forward to finally having a comfortable stay. Instead, I arrived to find that the room type I reserved wasn’t available, even though I booked it online the day before. The first room they assigned me was not clean at all — the bed wasn’t made, and there were dirty towels on the floor. I had to return to the front desk to be moved. The second room was cleaner, but still not the room type I reserved, so I ended up paying for something I did not receive. Positive: When the staff wasn't being rude. Negative: Rude employees, rude owner, water never cooled off. I got accused of having an animal, called names. Would really like my refund for the room I was forced to leave before I could check in

I checked in around 10:30pm and this stay was a disaster from the moment I walked in. The front desk receptionist wouldn’t even acknowledge me. I had to say “hello” multiple times just to get eye contact, let alone basic customer service. If being ignored at check-in is the standard here, management clearly isn’t paying attention. Then came the surprise pet fee. This hotel is advertised as “pet friendly” with no additional charge listed on their website or on the IHG app—and yet I was hit with an extra fee at check-in. That’s not a misunderstanding; that’s misleading and predatory. If you’re going to advertise one thing and charge another, own it—but don’t expect guests to quietly accept it. Stafford Suites is converting to IHG and will soon be a Candlewood so it looks like things will be turning around for this location. The rooms are already renovated and they are starting on the lobby soon. I was greeted by a friendly happy desk clerk named Tamara who even called after check in to see if everything was good with my room. I was impressed as I had seen the poor reviews and was willing and able to leave and go elsewhere if things didn’t appear to be changing for the better.
