Springs Lodge & Cottages

This was my first visit to the Spring Lodge, but the friend that I went with has been going up there for years. I see why -- it is a lovely resort! Our cottage was clean, and the bed was very comfortable and cozy. The furniture was comfortable, and the view was great. The deck was spacious and comfortable, and I wish it had been warmer so I could have enjoyed it more! When we rented a pontoon boat for a day of fishing, owner, Carla, arranged for us to get a quick tutorial on how to operate it. Overall, it was a very enjoyable week, and I'm looking forward to going back some day.

Actually 3.5 stars. I don't know how to describe the weird vibe at this place. If you want quiet, this is not the place. Unsupervised kids ran wild around the property the entire week. I know it's family friendly, but the entire center of the resort is a playground for kids. And there were a select few every day who were very unattended. If you don't have a cabin with waterfront as we did. A week is too long. It is clean, private, quiet at night. They had a very fun band play on their dock lake side. That was very nice. But they need to reel the parents in on their kids over the top behavior. Please don't tell me kids will be kids. I enjoy kids, I blame the parents and the owners for not an occasional look in.

We love Spring Lodge. Our cabin has a great view, I can sit at the kitchen table and have a panoramic view of the water. Grandkids love the beach and jumping off the dock. We love the fishing and pontoon rides to Cedarville for a ice cream cone or dinner in town or coffee at the best coffee shop. Friday nights band on the beach are a lot of fun. Ernie and Carla are great host. My brother and family come all the way from Colorado Springs they love it so much. The sunsets are awesome and now I can’t wait until July.

Only cares about money!! If your looking for that friendly, caring,small town feel that comes staying in LCI. You won't find it here! We had plans to stay this June however my husband cancer returning we had to cancel. I tried to reschedule and was told they were non transferable. They were not willing to work with us at all and will not refund our deposit. Yes I knew if we cancelled it would not be refunded unless they rent it, but they would not work with us in anyway.

Amazing owners and location. My husband and I visited 4 years ago to celebrate an anniversary and had the pleasure of meeting Carla and her family. They were so helpful and kind. We stayed in cottage 20 and love the location. We brought our chocolate lab who loved swimming in the lake. We are going back this summer with my parents, and sisters family, plus our three kids this time! It has been easy to communicate with Carla and we are so excited for our stay!
