SpringHill Suites by Marriott Waco Woodway

Positive: pool Negative: Our room did not have a working lock. Each time we left and came back, we had to be let into our room.

My children and grandchildren from Houston have stayed at this hotel near our home in Waco several times. The kids love the indoor pool and the waffles at the breakfast. There are lots of lovely, spacious areas inside the hotel to meet friends and a nice bar available for adult drinks. There is a covered outdoor patio with ceiling fans that are also nice places for conversations. The gorgeous Arboretum in Woodway is within a couple of miles. It is free and also has a splash pad and parkground for the kids. The hotel staff is very helpful. Everything is clean. It is a quiet location! Downtown Waco is only a few miles away to enjoy miles of Riverwalks, Art Center, Magnolia Market, Mayborn Museum, Baylor University events, restaurants, and more.

The wall where the shower curtain was fixed had a crack, and the water drainage seemed a bit slow. The bed was clean, but the sofa looked like it could use steam cleaning. It was one of the few places these days that still offers a welcome drink. Overall, the cleanliness was good. The indoor swimming pool is a strong point; however, the smell of chlorine was quite strong. I would not recommend using it if you have open wounds or sensitive skin, such as eczema. Overall, the completeness and condition of the facilities were excellent.

We booked a block of rooms for a wedding. Staff was amazing and easy to work with. We got a great price on the rooms and the service while at the hotel was awesome! The staff even made a special sign with balloons, and put it in the lobby welcoming my son and his new bride back to the hotel after their wedding! Thanks to the staff there for a great experience!

This hotel was easy to get to and was close to everything we wanted to do. The staff was really nice. My kids loved the pool. The room was nice and clean and very spacious. The breakfast had plenty of options.
