SpringHill Suites by Marriott Scranton Montage Mountain

I am a lifetime Platinum Member and Bonvoy Ambassador.. I have stayed at all 4 properties in this area on numerous occasions for the last 15 years and this is by far the best stay I have ever had.! I stay in hotels 22 days every month for work in cities across the country and Jumir is one of the best front desk associates I have ever dealt with! His attention to detail and his effort to make our stay top notch was second to none. I wish most Marriott properties had employees like him. He sets the example for what the hospitality industry should strive to achieve! He should be promoted to training employees nationally on how to properly service guests and clients..! Definitely an old hotel. Reading reviews on here, it seems the elevator and gym have been broken for over 6 months. The water fountain does not work. Rooms are ok but dated. The walls are paper thin so expect to hear everything going on even several rooms down the hall. Housekeeping service is acceptable but only in context of low expectations. The breakfast staff are very friendly and work hard so I do want to give them their kudos. Overall, there are other hotels nearby that are also Marriott properties that are better

I last minute booked a room here on Expedia (5 min before I showed up to check in) but first I called to see if I would be able to check in early (1pm) before I booked. The staff member that picked up was so friendly and kind, told me she had a room available for me and I could go on over. When I got there she was so so nice, checked me in right away. My bf travels for work which is what brought me there so I will stay here every time I come visit :)

We were very happy with our stay. Party of six so we utilized the sofa bed and two queen beds. Bathroom and room were clean and fridge worked. Plenty of ice machines, and we also used the pool. Breakfast was good - many options so something for everyone. Front desk was even able to provide a toothbrush for my young son who forgot his. Overall, nice staff who work very hard. We would come back when next in the area.
