These rooms are generally very spacious with space to.relax. a nice touch tos to have the couch and living space that doesn't make it feel so much like being away from.home. This hotel seems relatively new and toom was in good shape. The cleaning staff has dome an amazing job of maintaining and keeping up.with the hotel and rooms . I am not familiar with the area and seems there is places nearby in both directions for food drinks. Walking distance to a few nearby. The door to get in and out of parking garage requires your key card and if your checking in need to be buzzed I side , but does share building with Ronald mcdo and house so understandable. It is directly across from a hospital, one night had the life line helicopter arrive and wasn't too loud. But not a reason to get overly
Positive: Parking was good. Desk reception staff was wonderful. Negative: The rooftop gas fireplace was not working. Very disappointed.
This was the least pleasant Marriott property I’ve stayed at. The hotel keeps its exterior doors locked at all times with key card access required 24/7. I wish I had time to review the hotel more thoroughly before arrival, because I would have chose another hotel and area to stay in. While that may be intended for security, the surrounding area near the university and hospital district did not feel safe. The room itself was standard, but the walls are extremely thin. I could clearly hear conversations and snoring from neighboring rooms, as well as outside noise throughout the night. There was a lot of activity going on outside late at night. Sleep was difficult. There was no room service. Overall, between the noise and the atmosphere outside, this was not a relaxing stay
To be brief> The room was not serviced, even after we asked. I understand the 'water saving' no-clean-sheets thing, but this was different. No trash removed, no toilet paper/Kleenex refilled, etc. Had to ask a second time. Next, the bathroom has a ripple glass, barn-door that opens directly into the bedroom, not the entry way. If you want to use the bathroom at night, you will be forced to flip on the light - which is magnified by the ripple glass - and wake everyone else up. Next, this was supposed to be a disability room. The beds were so high, you need a pole vault to get into them. Finally, this hotel is directly across the street from the hospital. On Friday night, there was a parade of medevac helicopters coming and going, which interrupts your sleep.
I was hesitant because being located on Central, but glad I went. Rooms are nice two beds, trundle bed couch coffee maker mini fridge microwave separate workstation a big closet and i had mountain view. There was construction in the lot right next to my room, but noise was minimal and didn't interfere with my stay at all. Exterior was well lit and security made rounds through day and night. There was some foot traffic. Mostly medical workers and college students. Parking garage was well lit as well. A room key is required for entry in front door and to use the elevators going up. Property was clean welcoming and safe. I didn't try to free breakfasts but others seemed to enjoy it.. every staff member I encountered was kind and helpful..and as a smoker they let me know the safest place to
