Spark by Hilton Orlando near Universal

Super close to the park! Some of the day staff are awesome. Front desk was pretty awful. Rooms are fine. They don’t have a coffee maker or ice bucket/machine. Clean sheets. No dresser. Hairdryer only has a low setting. No frills but it’s not a bad place to sleep.

Caution is warranted with this staff. They have been known to unjustly accuse guests of missing items that were never in the room and bill your card without prior notification. To protect yourself, always request a staff member to accompany you during both check-in and check-out. This simple step can help you avoid being taken advantage of.

The facility was dated and the owners have renewed it. I feel Hilton should have inspected the quality of work when it was happening; it could have been money well spent!

Room 107 is filled with black mold in shower. Air quality is terrible. Dampness and the smell of bleach hits you as soon as you open the door. Black mold is present between bathroom shower tiles. Management does not care to address the issue and simply says no other guest has complained. I had runny nose, chest tighness and headache from being exposed to black mold. Will be following up with health inspection governing body of Florida. Finally got transferred to a different room on day 5 to room 416 and the difference was night and day! Air quality was good, no bleach smell, no dampness and no mold. Room 107 is a dissiabilty accessible room and maybe isnt rented out often? I don't know, but clearly staff including cleaning staff know about the mold as its the only room out of 107 and 416 t

The service here is awful. Rafal, the front desk attendant, was very rude and unhelpful. We called Hilton and made sure our room reservation was under a legal room booking through a family and friends discount. He told us no, and said she has to be here. He was very much wrong. We went onto Hilton site rules( under our family member who works here) and showed him he was wrong. He then told us that we may be right but that the rooms were “ all booked” . Nobody should ever have to deal with this guys incompetence again. He is in the wrong under Hilton rules, and has left us stranded in Orlando. We are 7 hours away from home, and Hilton better accommodate us. I will never stay at a Hilton ever again.
