Spark by Hilton Orlando near SeaWorld

We stayed here for a volleyball tournament that took place at the nearby convention center. It was super convenient to be able to walk back and forth and we passed cars waiting in line to park. The room was very compact. One of the smallest I've stayed in. If you just need four walls, a bed, and a shower, it's all good. There is a TV and small fridge but no microwave nor coffee maker. The place was clean. No issues there for us. We had some trouble with the climate control but maintenance took care of it in short order. The included Continental breakfast is pretty basic but it will get you going. Include fruit, muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee and juices. To start, Mya, at the front desk, was super helpful, very kind, and went above and beyond to help us with our stay. Raul, at the front desk was also incredibly kind and helpful. Lastly, Bryant, the Manager, was a shining star in assisting with our stay--and with cancelling a stay that I mistakenly booked. The rooms were comfortable and clean, service was excellent, great location proximity to all that goes on around the Convention Center and SeaWorld. Properties and staff like these are what makes me happy about being a Hilton Honors member. When I return to this area, I will stay again.

This location is definitely one to cross off the list. I stay at hundreds of hotels a year and it is hard to push me to write a negative review, but do yourself a favor and choose one of the many other great hotel options in Orlando. They are dishonest and will charge you erroneously for things, the location is not very good and the property is not clean. We stay in Orlando often and figured we would give this one a try for a last minute stay. Huge mistake. Upon check in as a Hilton Diamond member I received the standard text asking how things were and if there was anything they could do. We checked in early, but did not stay in our room. We didn't get back until late evening about 11PM. We were very tired and went right to bed because we had to leave early the nest morning to go to the Kennedy Space Center. The room was warm, but we didn't think much of it. We adjusted the t-stat on the air conditioner hoping this would solve the problem. We noticed that very little air flow was coming from the a/c even though the fan was set to cool and high speed. The room was small. No bathroom space, toilet and shower were separated in a super small awkward space. Shower was disgusting and the water smelled. The shower handle to turn on the water was unnecessarily confusing. I found hair on multiple towels that weren't mine. The hairs were found on our personal towels in the room and outside on the pool towels. The pool was dirty and not warm at all. The towels were so small you need three of them to cover the tanning chairs. (Bring your own towels if you want to tan). The hallways and stairwells also smelled pretty bad. The elevator was also very slow. When we first got there it was fine but as more people arrived, the elevator door seemed broken. The door took a good 30 seconds to fully open.
