Spark by Hilton Opelousas

Easily the worst Hilton hotel I have ever stayed at. And I have had hilton status for 15+ years. The hallway was not heated. The heat in the rooms were off when we got there, so the rooms were 55 degrees. The “desk chair” was a stool. There was plenty of room for a chair. They just renovated this place as cheap as possible. The bath tub was permanently dirty and had and had visible dirt. The toilet was also dirty. There was a dead bug in the bathroom. The only positive was that the bed was actually fairly comfortable.

This is a rebranded and remodeled Quality Inn and now Sparks Hilton and that’s why I stayed. A few things that were strange is there was no decorations on the newly painted wall. Just white. there’s no coffee maker or coffee anything in the room? They make you walk down the hall to their coffee service. But the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen in the hotel is there is no water cups plastic or glass of any kind in the bathroom or the room anywhere. I called the front desk and they said they don’t put them in the rooms. You have to come to the front desk to get one. I would stay again although very strange

The hotel had a number of faults so I will highlight the ones that were most concerning to me, they're hotel breakfast was nothing short of pathetic Me and a colleague noticed yesterday's items being put back out. The milk was soured on both tanks which was also very disturbing. The hotel backdoor towards the dumpsters was at one point completely missing. So I suppose interior security was compromised. Even the coffee containers would rarely be full, another short term failure. It almost seems like the hotel management is being really cheap. None the less, whether you staying here for lesiure or buisness I would strongly urge you look elsewhere.

Stay on two different occasions just to be disappointed. For starts breakfast isn't breakfast and there was no orange juice or cranberry juice both watered down. The front desk guy was doing everything from cleaning the rooms, laundry for the rooms, breakfast and operating the front desk very unsanitary for these to be going on. My receipts was attached to the wrong persons account and of course i lost my honors points witch I'm very upset about . Will not stay here again not professional at all. I see why we only saw two cars on our second stay here.

I was so disappointed in this hotel, we are Diamond members and thought maybe because it is a part of Hilton Honors we would be okay, and the other hotels were booked. Please don't waste your time or money. The towels were filthy, the entire first floor back door was partially broken off, so they decided to take the entire door off with a wooded area in the back which was very unsafe, anything could have crawled inside and under the doors putting customers health, and safety at risk. It didn't stop there, the next morning at breakfast, we noticed the same rotten bananas that was there the night before, I asked the front desk for fresh bananas, he did give us fresh, but put them right over the rotten ones.
